Yeah!

Well, on Saturday Tyler and I had just stopped at PetSmart to get my niece Jaime a graduation gift for her party later that day. I saw all of these signs for KIA's big car sale so I asked Tyler if he wanted to go look at cars. Well, we stopped by KIA on my way home and I wound up leaving with a new van! LMAO!!!

When we first stopped Tyler was so excited. He thought we were going to the circus because of the tents that were outside. It was so funny! Of course the moment we parked we had a salesman come up to us and he started to show us around. He was trying to show me some SUVs and I declined because let's face it, gas isn't getting any cheaper and I have to commute every day. I was not interested. He then took me over to the vans and low and behold, they had just gotten a 2003 KIA Sedona in so he took me for a test drive in it. It had leather seats, dvd player, cassette, cd player and loads of storage. It only had 21,000 miles on it and it also came with a 100,000 mile warranty! That was the selling point for me! Ever since my van started to give me problems (it is a 2001 Mercury Villager with over 93,000 miles on it) I had been stressing. I was worried about something major going wrong with it and then getting stuck without a car. Not to mention I still owed over $6,000 for the car and it had no warranty. I knew the moment the car hit 100,000 miles I was going to have a hard time selling it but KIA bought it and I got my new Van for even less then what they were asking for it. I also knew with the new baby coming I could not afford for my car to break down and me getting stuck without a car because I couldn't afford to get it fixed.

I love my new van. Felipe wanted me to keep my old one because he thought it would last a lot longer but the thing is, the mileage is getting really high on it and I commute 65 miles per day round trip to work. I need something reliable or else I'll lose my job! I did have $2,000 saved up so I was able to use that as a down payment. I think I'm still in shock though, it just doesn't seem real! I love driving it and I love the gas mileage it gets. I also love the seats, they are so comfy and my favorite part is the piece of mind. Just knowing that if something were to happen to it, I have the 100,000 mile warranty on it. *happy sigh*

Go to pictures you and you see my purty car! It has wood grain, sun roof, dvd player, cd, cassette, leather and a rear spoiler. I *love* it so much and the best is the fact that the back seat has bucket seats instead of the row like my old van did so that means Tyler won't be poking the baby's eye out in the car! LOL!!!

I am so happy!

That's so awesome!! I love the Sedonas- a few months ago my SIL rented one and we took it down to San Diego with 3 adults and 3 kids (in carseats, nonetheless) and it had so much room! I love the extra space it has next to the middle seat, because you can fit your stroller or whatever. Congratulations!!

It's a dark red color with the tan on the bottom. I love the inside though. It's so comfy! It will be a nice car to keep for a long time unlike my old van that sounded like it was going to fall apart! LOL

I know exactly what you mean! Ugh, I need a new car so bad. It's falling apart and I still owe about $6000 on it! It's horrible! My next purchase will probably be a Kia just based on their warranty. My dad has a Kia and it has no problems and its up to $150,000 miles on it.

Yeah they do cost a lot. I was only able to get the van because I saved up $2,000 over the course of 6 months and my work started to give me a car allowance of $200 per month so I can actually afford the higher car payments.

Congrats on the new van! That warranty is awesome! Definately the peice of mind you'll need for commuting! The dvd player is awesome too. I used to insist that my kids wouldn't watch tv while travelling, because I didn't have it as a kid and I was fine, but now I'm totally happy having it! It makes any road trip much much easier. Congrats once again!!
